I was CEO of Amnesty International in Sweden for seven years, and before that a country director for Save the Children’s programmes in the Philippines, South Sudan, and Kenya.
Strategic change management is a key part of my work, together with delivering complex programmes and substantial results. I have 30 years of experience of applying human rights into sustainable impact with different stakeholders. I strive for collaboration and win-win solutions from developing Save the Children’s first policy against harmful child labour, to round table discussions with banks on how to strengthen their work for human rights. I am driven by a passion for my work and for making a lasting impact for a more human rights-based and sustainable world. I believe that everybody can make a difference and that our actions matters.

I have more than 25 years experience in natural emergencies, conflict and refugee contexts in over 40 countries. I have a reputation for inclusive leadership, collaboration, strategy and policy development. I have led on restructuring the organisation to achieve new goals, and championed culture change to enable greater inclusion of diverse people.
I have a range of Board and governance related experience. Most recently, I was appointed by the UK Crown as a Church Commissioner. The Church Commissioners oversee the management of the Church of England’s historic endowment fund, currently worth c. £10 billion and have established a global reputation for their leading work on ethical investments and ESG.

I am an accomplished decision maker with international leadership experience in both executive and non-executive roles. I have strong commercial, business and creative foundations having spent over 20 years in design, communication and PR; culminating in prestigious roles as Head of Production for Imagination (UK) and as MD of Inhouse Communications (UK).
I specialise in top team development and board effectiveness, facilitating business leaders and senior teams to lead with purpose, accelerate personal growth and place humanity at the core of their businesses; and in so doing increase corporate and financial performance. I have held board/non-executive, advisory and trustee positions since 2004.
I am passionate about creating mindful, purposeful, organisational change believing that when corporate bodies put their energy into good practice they can contribute to the world for good, better serving the communities of which they are part.
